With support from Tokyo’s Be Smart Tokyo, we implemented the spatial information management system IndooAR at Shimizu Corporation’s NOVARE
Nefront, Inc. was selected for Be Smart Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s smart service implementation project, and has implemented the spatial information management system IndooAR at NOVARE, the open innovation hub of Shimizu Corporation. Repair information now builds up and can be shared, tied to the place it belongs to, which makes maintenance work lighter. We aim to extend this to related facilities and to other companies.
Nefront, Inc. (Representative Director: Shota Imamura; “Nefront”) was selected for Be Smart Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s smart service implementation project, which CIC Institute runs as the smart service implementation operator. So that repair information builds up and can be shared, tied to the place it belongs to, we implemented the spatial information management system IndooAR at NOVARE, the open innovation hub of Shimizu Corporation (President: Tatsuya Shinmura; “Shimizu Corporation”).
Labor shortages have become serious in the maintenance of cities — buildings and infrastructure alike — and taking effort out of that work is now urgent. Acquiring inspection skills and reporting inspection results in particular take a great deal of time, and there is a real need to reduce the effort involved. Nefront addresses this with the spatial information management system and image recognition technology it has been building. The aim is to make inspection know-how visible and inspection records simpler, and so take effort out of maintaining a city.

■ About Nefront
Nefront uses AI and AR to make the information in a building easy to see and use.
IndooAR, our spatial information management system, uses image recognition to work out where you are — even indoors, where GPS barely reaches. From there it can guide you, show you AR content, and keep track of information and equipment.
We also offer Filefront, an AI drawing search service. It finds the sheet you need out of a large set of PDF drawings, by drawing type or by keyword.
